This was for my grandson's 2nd birthday! He took to it right away. HE loved playing with the water and sand and all the utensils that came with the product. It is good to have a drain plug for the water for easy clean up. The assembly was somewhat difficult, just need patience in putting it together, however the reward of seeing how this product brings such fun and happiness it is well worth the effort.

[...]As we were enroute to check out the pool, I went ahead and dragged it out to the pool area and immediately went about setting it up! It only took 10 minutes- Yippee!As we didn't have any play sand, it became strictly a water table! At the end of the day I drained it and we picked up some play sand for the next 'building day'. We also had to pick up a BIG truck, cause where's there's sand, there must be a truck. Yes, we live in the South, go ahead and laugh about having a monster truck for the sandbox!! The next morning I filled half with water and half with sand. Daughter was in and out of the pool and playing with her table, while swing set construction began again. Within 15 minutes it was no longer a sand and water table, but a 'sandy mud' construction site! TALK about a versatile table that can keep up with a preschooler's imagination! The wheels on the upper portion work great for water and fine sand, not so much for sandy mud, FYI! Love that the lids close up to keep animals out of the sand! Glady recommend this table as a SUPER learning and imagination play table for all young kids!

We bought this for our grandson's 3rd b.day because he loves to play outside in the water. We only use it as a water table--no sand. He has enjoyed it tremendously and the size is perfect! We love the little umbrella that attaches for shade! The side car ramp and vehicles add lots more creative play! Only disappointment is the gears do not really work well when pouring water, but they are still fun to play with and turn by hand.
