Sylvester Yen had decades of experience designing children's bicycles when he founded Morgan Cycles. A bicycle engineer for some of America's most prominent companies, he dreamed of offering discerning parents beautiful, safe, and finely crafted ride-on toys while the rest of the industry raced to produce cheaper products.
His first product, the elegantly streamlined Morgan tricycle, was inspired by the original 1936 Harold Van Doren design that captured the hearts of generations of Americans. Van Doren was a pioneering designer in the emerging industrial age, and "simple solidity" was the hallmark of his work. His range included gas pumps for the Wayne Pump Company, refrigerators for Philco, stoves for Westinghouse, and the iconic Maytag washing machine.
Since the initial tricycle, Morgan Cycle has continued to listen to loyal customers and design pedal cars, scooters, tricycles and bicycles to elegant sleighs, decorative gas pumps, and more inspired by classic designs that transcend time and fads. More on Morgan Cycle...

Comments about Morgan Cycle Lionel Pedal Ride-On Train:
This train looks nice once you finaly get it together however the pedal system on this train is arranged in such a fashion that I don't think any kid can get enough leverage to pedal this train very far at all.
I've utilized all of the adjustment available for my 5 year old son and he could not move the train more than a foot or two on flat smooth concrete.
My son is a strong 54 lb 5 year old that fits inside the train perfectly its just that the pedals are positioned so that he can not leverage the pedals to move the train.
I bought my girl a vintage style pink pedal car of the same overal design except the rear axel as bearings connected to the pedal push rods. This seems to help in pedaling. Hers works.
The train does not have bearings. It just has a rough cut hole through the pedal rods for a connection to the rear axel.
I do not recommend this product if your kid wants to be able to pedal the train.
