Great road bike for a beginner. Great price and easy to put together. I bought the bike for my 6 mile one way commute to work and I have been riding everyday and it's great. My only recommendation would be to get a different seat, as the factory seat is not too comfortable.

Just getting started but was able to get everything working and adjusted and added lights, multi function speedometer and new Schwinn pillow top seat which is very comfortable. Plan to use more often after the summer as gardening, fishing and other activities keep me active. Great bike for the price.

This bike has all the quality parts the expensive bikes have, with the exception of the front derailleur. (moves the chain on the front gears) Mine snapped when I tried to manually adjust the cage. This bike gets up to speed easily, and it incredibly light!
I suggest getting a new comfy seat. the stock seat feels like a slab of rock on your bottom. A new seat and a quality front derailleur are a must. After that, you're set! Both are very inexpensive.
